Akçaba Communications, founded in March 2005, is currently the leading company in the field of communications in North Cyprus. The company's strength arises from a combination of high-grade technical know-how, premium field experience, and excellent customer service, which differentiates the firm from its competitors.
Akçaba Communications offers its customers turn-key solutions - from project consultancy, installation and management services for infrastructure works, TDM/IP PBX and Call Center systems, fiber optic cabling and termination, sales and after-sales support of end-user transmission equipment. The company also provides planning, engineering and project management services for optical transmission networks, wide-area and metropolitan networks, network security systems and broadband wireless access networks.
In 2006, the company has invested its part of capital and know-how in the fiber optics field, and becoming the only private company with a certified team of installers, fiber optic fusion splicer and OTDR equipment in North Cyprus.
The company launched a B2B site, www.teknopot.com, in mid-2007, which offers a faster and automated ordering channel for its enterprise customers and resellers. In 2008, Akçaba Communications partnered with other distributor companies to market their product portfolio on www.teknopot.com, making the website the no.1 B2C platform for electronic products in North Cyprus.
Later in 2009, Akcaba communications established manufacturing plant in order to produce fiber optic pigtails and patch cords locally. FOPPEX (Fiber Optic Pigtails and Patch Cords Export), registered brand of Akçaba Communications, targets the southern European and Middle-Eastern markets, serving its customers with high quality fiber optic components at competitive prices.

Akçaba Communications is a certified reseller of Alcatel-Lucent, distributor of Snom, Airties, EFB-Elektronik, ETK Kablo and Canovate Group networking products, and certified reseller of Talya Software. Akçaba Communications also believes in OpenSource initiatives and is in the developer network for Asterisk and SIPFoundry telephony-over-IP projects.
